Instructions

Warm milk to about 95°F (35°C) and feed from a syringe or nipple.

Feed every 2 hours for the first week of age, reducing this to every 3 hours by two weeks of age and every 4 hours by four weeks of age.

5-7% Feeding Rule: Weigh the baby on a scale in grams; multiply that number by 5% (0.05) to determine the number of mL’s to feed per feeding. You may need to start with smaller feedings and work up to 5% after a few feedings. Once the baby is eating well and able to digest 5% quickly, you can gradually move up to feeding them 7% at a time.
