Tortoise LS (Low Starch) flips that entirely. It's built around ground timothy hay as the first ingredient, for arid and grassland species: sulcata, leopard, desert, Galapagos, Egyptian, Greek, gopher, radiated, and Aldabra tortoises, plus herbivorous lizards like chuckwallas and uromastyx. The formula runs lower in starch and higher in fiber, which mirrors what these species actually graze on in the wild, and it's the formula most directly tied to reducing pyramiding risk in species built for sparse, fibrous forage.

One nuance worth knowing, straight from Mazuri's own guidance: some dry-land species, sulcata and Galapagos included, can also do reasonably well on the Original formula. The LS split is the right default recommendation, but it isn't a strict rule that applies with zero exceptions across every dry-land species.
